0. General information

The Medical overview is intended for groups and teams, allowing staff to keep track of different athletes and communicating about interventions that took place with each athlete. Make sure you create groups before using the dashboard.

1. Medical status

The different medical statuses are: available, unavailable and modified. You can change the medical status right here in the dashboard.

2. Active injuries, illnesses and issues

Active = an injury, illness or issue without an end date.

If you fill out an expected end date, this date will be shown in the dashboard so other users know when to expect the athlete back. You can change this as the injury progresses.

When an injury, illness or other issue has been resolved, add the end date to remove it from the dashboard. The period between the start and end date will be shown as the duration of the issue. Of course, the information and duration will remain visible in each athlete's medical tab.

3. Notes

A note can live within an injury or within an athlete. In the dashboard you'll see the most recent note or the 'pinned' note if there is one.

There are different options with notes:

  • Pin: this note will remain visible on the dashboard, even if there are more recent notes.
  • Hide: the note doesn't appear on the dashboard
  • Edit: make changes to your own notes, not someone else's.
  • Remove: remove your own notes, not someone else's.

4. FAQ

4.1. Who can see the medical dashboard?

The medical dashboard is visible to all users (staff members). Access is managed through your organization's user permissions.

4.2. What's the difference between the three medical statuses (available, unavailable, modified)?

  • Available: the athlete has no restrictions and can fully participate.
  • Unavailable: the athlete cannot participate due to an active injury, illness, or issue.
  • Modified: the athlete can participate, but under adjusted conditions (e.g. reduced load, altered exercises). This can be specified or clarified further via the notes.

4.3. What happens to a note if I don't pin it?

If a note isn't pinned, it will only be shown on the dashboard while it's the most recent note. As soon as a newer note is added, the unpinned note is no longer displayed on the dashboard - though it remains visible in the athlete's medical tab.

4.4. Can I sort the dashboard?

Yes, the dashboard can be sorted per name or medical status, making it easier to find the information you need.

4.5. Do resolved injuries disappear completely, or can I still find them later?

Resolved injuries are removed from the dashboard view once an end date is added, but they aren't deleted. The full history, including duration, remains accessible in the athlete's medical tab.
