Webinar: Talent detection in youth football: How can objective measurements support subjective assessment?

Talent identification is a difficult and complex process aimed at discovering promising young players and guiding them to an environment where they can fully develop their talents. Unfortunately, assessments are often based on subjective opinions rather than objective results.

In this webinar, PhD student Laurens Gilson explains how scouts and coaches can use physical and motor skills tests to better assess players and support their search for talent. Laurens is currently working on a research project between Ghent University and the Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA).
